Ajarn (Master) Brett trained directly under Sandy Holt and Grand Master Sken when living in the UK and himself was the British Light heavy weight champion and held several other titles. Head Instructor for MSA Sitnarong Muay Thai Australasia and MSA Sitnarong New Zealand, Brett is the coach of the MSA Sitnarong fight team and takes fighters by appointment only. Recently he was awarded his Masters (Ajarn) certification directly by Grand Master Sken after 30 plus years of loyal service. He ensures the training for the general students and fighters is of a very high standard and his fight training classes are intense. But the results speak for themselves with fighters from the club winning National TBA, National WKBF, National full contact Kyukoshin, South Island WKA and South Island WMC tiles. Ajarn Brett is available for private sessions, please enquire if you think they might be for you.

Meet Other Trainers

With nearly 10 years training under his belt as part of the Sitnarong teaching team, Andrew is passionate about helping members improve their abilities and making sure they remain on the up and up. He has fantastic technique and a willingness to learn which see him constantly improving every time he enters the gym to train.Andrew also helps out in all of the classes whenever he can, passing on his already considerable knowledge to those around him.
Former WKA South Island Full Thai Rules Champion, Louis is known for his unrivaled fitness level and excellent technique. He began his training by starting with some mates on a fairly casual basis then soon discovered a taste for training hard and then ring competition followed shortly after. Louis has also been fortunate enough to travel to the U.K. and be both personally trained and graded by Grand Master Sken himself. He takes the Monday night fight training at Woolston and also some Saturday morning classes and you know for sure you're going to get a workout when you go to one of Louis's classes!
MSA Sitnarong Muay Thai are extremely proud (and pleased) to welcome our newest member to the coaching team, Bree Knitter. She has one hell of a resume, and we feel it's best she introduces herself. Bree takes Tuesday and Thursday Boxfit, Tuesday night basics and also runs a fight class on Thursdays (replacing the former "open fight training"). She is also available for private lessons so feel free to get in touch to arrange an appointment with her. Read on...
Hello Team Sitnarong! My name is Bree 🙂 I was born and raised in San Diego, California. Sports have always been a big part of my life and I earned a scholarship to Oregon State University to play volleyball while I completed my 4 year degrees. After volleyball, I needed a new endeavor and stumbled upon Muay Thai through Groupon.
I was hooked from my first class 10 years ago, started training double days before and after work and wanted to learn to fight. I started my career with an amateur record of 10-1 training under former Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Champion, Bunkerd Faphimai (formerly Bunkerd Fairtex), winning the US Muay Thai Open and Thai Boxing Association National tournaments and representing team USA at IFMA.
I moved to Bangkok to train full-time at the end of 2019, starting at Muay Thai Institute Rangist, moving to Phuket in 2021 where I was a sponsored fighter at Phuket Singha Muay Thai. During my time in Thailand, I held a record of 14-1 professional fights fighting on shows like Superchamp, Muay Hardcore, Lumpinee World Championship, Petchyindee and Thai Fight, reaching the WBC #1 ranking at 63.5kg and fighting for the WBC World Title (split decision loss) in February 2024.
